41st Algiers International Fair, Algiers, Algeria from June
7-12,2008
On seeing
the over whelming response from our members in various Trade Fairs, I take
great pleasure in informing you that FIEO is participating
in 41st Algiers International Fair, Algiers, Algeria
scheduled to be held from June 7-12,2008 in “Indian Pavilion” through
ITPO.
The principle objectives to participate in this event is to encourage and promote Indian exports, Joint Ventures, Technology transfer, marketing arrangements to business partners in Algeria and build a strong image of Indian Products.
Algeria,
a member of OPEC has become an important economic partner in recent years.
With 32 million population and GDP of $56 billion, Algeria is the fourth
largest economy in the Arab world. Hydrocarbons constitute 96% of its
exports. The rise in oil prices has contributed to an augmentation of its
foreign exchange reserves to more than $ 33 billion. Its annual imports are
to the tune of $12 billion. Presently, Algeria is in the process of
liberalisation of its economy to create a pro-investment atmosphere.
in view of the vast potential in this country Indian
industries should have greater interaction with Algeria and make use of the
opportunities. A brief report on India-Algeria Economic and Commercial
report is enclosed herewith for your reference.
THE
DISPLAY PROFILE OF THE PRODUCTS ARE :
EDIBLES,
INDUSTRIAL OR MEDICINAL PLANTS, CHEMICALS, PAPER & PAPER PRODUCTS,
TEXTILE & HOME FURNISHINGS, TOOLS, ELECTRICAL MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENTS,
VEHICLES OTHER THAN RAILWAY OR TRAMWAY ROLLING STOCK, FURNITURE,BEDDING
MATTRESSES, TOYS, GAMES AND SPORTS REQUISITES, WORKS OF ART COLLECTORS
PIECES AND ANTIQUES, CERAMIC PRODUCSTS, GLASS AND GLASSWARE.
For a
constructed booth of 9 sq.mtr (built-up booth),
the rentals will be in the vicinity of Rs. 6,000/- per sq.mtr + the
12.36% service tax which worksout to Rs. 60,675/- (without freight). The
package will include carpeting, partitions, spot lights, one desk, two
chairs, electrical socket and general publicity support.
Any additional requirements are to be borne by the exhibitors
individually.
Please
note that Retail sale in the
event is strictly not allowed.
For those members who are unable to participate individually & rent a stand , FIEO is also organizing a catalogue show for publicity of Indian products for members.

Catalogue Show – You will have to pay a service charges of Rs. 5,000/- to FIEO for organizing display of your catalogues.

You may send catalogues and samples upto weight of 2 kgs to FIEO(WR). Additional airfreight cost if any at actual will be extra.
We have
been allotted only limited space and hence the space will be given on
“first come first served” basis.
Kindly confirm your booking of space and forward your
application form duly filled in alongwith Demand Draft of Rs. 60,675/-
towards the participation fees.
MDA grant will be available to eligible companies to the tune of Rs.
1,50,000/- (subject to maximum of Rs. 80,000/- towards the stall charges and
Rs. 70,000/- towards the airfare) as per the MDA guidelines laid down
by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India.
