between traditional and global markets, said Dr R.K. Dhawan, Chairman,
FIEO (Northern Region) while addressing a Workshop on "Financial
Schemes, Foreign Trade Policy & Sourcing buyers through
Internet" organized by FIEO in association with Jaipur Textiles
Research Association (JTRA) on 11 July at Jaipur.

infrastructure and competition among the companies have made available
high-speed internet connections at every office. A rapid growth in

E-commerce, coupled with appropriate business strategy can enable you to
compete with large and capital rich business houses in global market."
He said.
Mr. S.K.
Sharma, Jt. DGFT, Jaipur, in his presentation on Foreign Trade Policy
informed about various provisions and benefits available for exporters under
the Policy.

participants of how to use technology in enhancing business and how to
source buyers through important portals. While responding to a query by a

search of buyers. Through internet only, a manufacturer can send details of
his product, its quality, price etc. to his prospective buyers and can get
export orders." He focused his presentation on textiles, handicrafts
and gems & jewellery and demonstrated how to tap global market through
electronic means.
Mr. S B
Agarwal, Secretary, JTRA mentioned about the utility of such workshop in
helping entrepreneurs to know the new methods of searching buyers and
