OPERATIONAL
GUIDELINES
In
all transactions, the consignee will continue to be the member EXPORTER. The
role of Indus Trade Services FZE is merely that of a Service Provider. Goods
would be sent by the member-exporter to the FZE zone (air/sea) and stored in
the FZE godown on behalf of the exporter.
Role
of ITS would be to facilitate any further activity on behalf of the member
and to monitor the services provided by different agents:
E.g.
the member instructs the bulk cargo broken down into smaller packages for
delivery to different buyers, the ITS would identify the agent who could
undertake this activity on behalf of the exporter. Either the same agent or
a different agent would deliver these to the destined location. At all
times, the goods would be the property and responsibility of the exporter
and ITS would be acting on his/her behalf.
Similarly
for re-export, the ITS would instruct the agent to prepare documents for
re-export, clear the custom formalities as a forwarding agent and deliver
the goods to the shipping lines for onward freighting.
All
costs for the operations and activities of the agent would be to the account
of the member-exporter.
Domestic
Sale: If goods are to be delivered locally in UAE, the appointed agency or
logistics company would clear the goods on behalf of the exporter, pay the
requisite Custom duty to Saif Zone and deliver to the appropriate buyer/
retailer.
Every
member exporter will have a small display counter carrying samples and their
product catalogue. They can direct their buyer to the FZE and the personnel
posted will do the necessary coordination and send the feedback to the
client.
All
financial transaction and responsibility for the transactions would be
negotiated and concluded directly by the member exporter and buyer. ITS
could facilitate the process, if required and also provide relevant advice
but will not be directly involved in the transaction.
