FROM KARNATAKA
Karnataka
contributed Rs.20,145 crores during
the year 2001-02 against Rs.16,027 crores exported during the year 2000-01 i.e, approximately 7% of India’s total
exports. Electronics and
Computer Software, Radymade Garments, Agro Products, Silk Products and
Engineering Products accounted
for more than 70% share of Karnataka’s export.
Other promising sectors for exports from Karnataka are Steel and
Steel Products, Floriculture and Horticulture Products.
