Some of the Important Announcements made by the CBEC, Government of India during February, 2007 Notification No.9/2007-Customs (NT) amends the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulation1988. Loni, District Ghaziabad has been included in the list of Customs Ports for unloading of imported goods and loading of export goods by Notification No.11/2007-Customs (NT) dated 15th February, 2007. Notification No.12/2007-Customs (NT) dated 21stFebruary 2007 rescinds the Special Economic Zones (Customs Procedures) Regulations, 2003 notified vide Notification No.53/2003-Customs (NT) dated 22ndJuly 2003 Notification No.13/2007-Customs (NT) dated 21stFebruary, 2007 rescinds the Special Economic Zones Rules 2003 notified vide Notification No.52/2003-Customs (NT) dated 22ndJuly, 2003 Circular No.10/2007-Cus dated 13thFebruary, 2007 issues guidelines regarding exemption from Customs Duty on import by Government Bodies. Circular No.11/2007-Cus dated 13thFebruary 2007 dispense verification of DEPB at EDI ports in the light of Electronic Transmission of Shipping Bills and DEPBs. Circular No.12/2007-Cus dated 14thFebruary 2007 clarifies regarding charging of interest on warehoused goods.
