Some of the Important Announcements made by the CBEC during the month of October, 2010

1.Indonesia is added in the list of exemption for import of specified goods into India under ASEAN vide Notification No.103/2010 dated 1st October, 2010.Other countries are Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar.
2.Notification No.104/2010-Customs dated 1st October, 2010 exempts specified goods imported into India from Nepal from the whole of Customs Duty subject to certain conditions.
3.Circular No.39/2010-Customs dated 15th October, 2010 clarifies Drawback on supplies made by DTA units to SEZ and, issue of Drawback cheque books by jurisdictional Commissioner of Customs to Central Excise Commissionerates.
4.Circular No.40/2010-Customs dated 28th October, 2010makes changes/revision in the Form of Bond to be furnished for availing duty exemption under AdvanceLicence and EPCG Schemes
