Some Important Announcement of the Government during the month of May,2012
1.Notification No. 30/2012-Customs dated 8th May, 2012 amends Notification No. 39/96-customs dated 23rd July, 1996 regarding exemption from whole of the additional duty for specified items.
2.Notification No. 37/2012-Customs dated 24th May, 2012 notifies inclusion of Sea Port KARAIKAL (Union Territory of Pondicherry) in the list of ports permitted for exports and imports under Export Promotion.
3.Notification No. 43/2012-Customs (N.T.) dated 16th May, 2012 amends Notification No. 26 / 2009 -Customs (N.T.), dated 17th March, 2009 regarding handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations, 2009.
4.Notification NO. 44/2012-Customs (N.T.) dated 21st May, 2012 notifies rate of exchange of conversion of Japanese Yen with effect from 22nd May, 2012.
5.Notification No. 45/2012-Custom (N.T.) dated 24th May, 2012 notifies rate of exchange of conversion of US Dollar and Hong Kong Dollar with effect from 25thMay, 2012.
6.Notification NO. 46(2012-Customs (N.T.) dated 24th May, 2012 amends notification No. 68/2011-Customs (N.T.) dated 22nd September, 2011 regarding rates of drawback.
7.Circular No. 12/2012-Customs dated 1st May, 2012 clarifies classification of Micro/Mini SD Cards.
