Dear Member (s),
We may like to inform you that FIEO with the support of Ministry of Commerce, Government of India is participating in 3rd Edition of PowerElec, Auto Parts & Construct Ghana as per the following details:
Dates:06 to 08 September, 2018 (Thursday to Saturday)
Time:10.00 am to 06.00 pm
Venue:Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, Labadi, Accra, Ghana.
Ghana is one of the important trading partners of India in the Africa region. India’s trade with Ghana in 2016-17 was USD 2.6 Billion making it the 2nd largest trading partner of India amongst the West African countries with India’s exports to Ghana rising by almost 9 percent to USD 681 Mn.
Africa is in an urgent need of increasing its installed generating capacity in order to meet the growing demand with region requirements for 250 GW of additional capacity between now and 2030. Comparing to Region’s average, Ghana is better off with over 75% of its population having access to electricity. The current capacity needs to double itself as the demand is growing at over 12% per annum.
The automobile sector of Ghana has been a driver of growth of the country as it is one of the most visible sectors to receive foreign investment. There are currently more than 21.6 million cars on the continent's roads, which make up for nearly 70 % of the spare parts consumption.
The construction industry of Ghana is an important element of the national economy. Ghana regional projects reflect the country’s role as a West African hub, with four projects of nearly $382 million happening in transport, energy, trade facilitation and agriculture. As there is a strong link between construction and economic activity, the projected economic growth in Ghana suggests that the demand for construction goods and services will increase in the coming years. Ghana has also created a successful business-enabling environment for inward Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), which averaged about US $ 3billion per year.
