Some of the Important Announcements of the Government  

during December, 2007


  1. Amendments/Corrections/Additions in the Input Output Norms in respect of product groups – Chemicals and Allied and Plastic Products have been notified by Public Notice Nos. 88(RE-2007)/2004-09 dated 5thDecember, 2007.

  2. Ghojadanga Land Customs Station (LCS) is added inPort of Registration under Paragraphs 4.19 of Hand Book of Procedures vide Public Notice No.89(RE-2007)/2004-09 dated 10thDecember, 2007.

  3. Exporters of minor forest produce from the Orissa can also obtain RCMC from SHEFEXIL, EPC as per amendment in Para 2.67 of HBP vide Public Notice No. 90 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 11thDecember, 2007.

  4. Amendments/Corrections in the Input Output Norms in respect of product groups – Engineering have been notified by Public Notice Nos. 92(RE-2007)/2004-09 dated 13thDecember, 2007.

  5. Public Notice No.93 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 and Notification No.66 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 both dated 26thDecember, 2007 notify the Procedure and Application for applying the benefit under VKUGY by status holders.

  6. Prohibition imposed on export of Non-Bastmati Rice shall not be applicable to export of 50,000 MT rice to People Republic of Bangladesh by M/s LMJ International Limited as per Notification No.60 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 6th   December, 2007.

  7. DTA units supplying goods from DTA to SEZ Units, being physical exports, are eligible for benefits under Focus Products Scheme for exports w.e.f. 1.4.2006 provided payment for such supplies is received in free foreign exchange by applicant DTA units as per amendment in Para 3.10.2 of FTP vide Notification No.64 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 24thDecember, 2007.

  8. Zonal DGFT,CLA, New Delhi will be the Licensing Office for grant of the benefit to all Status Holders under Para 3.8.6 of FTP as per Notification No.66 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 26thDecember, 2007.

  9. As per Notification No.68 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 27thDecember, 2007 export of Non-Basmati Rice will be allow only if the Minimum Export Price (MEP) is more than US$ 500 per ton FOB or Rs.20,000/- per ton FOB.

  10. Duty paid on fuel procured from Depots of domestic oil Public Sector Undertaking by EOU/EHTP/STP/BTP is also reimbursed as per drawback rate notified by DGFT from time to time as per Notification No.70 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 27thDecember, 2007.

  11. Policy Circular No.20(RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 5thDecember, 2007 issue Norms Committee (Para 4.7) cases Guidelines.

  12. Policy Circular No.22(RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 24thDecember, 2007 clarifies the Import Policy of 1 Bromo-3-Chloro Propane.

  13. Policy Circular No.23(RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 31stDecember, 2007 clarifies the procedures for import of Sandal Wood.
