Some of the Important Announcements of the Government  

during June2006 



  1. Public Notice 17(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 2ndJune 2006 notifies the arrangement for Import of Vegetable Fats (Vanaspati) under the Indo Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement.

  2. Mundra & Mumbai Ports are added in the list of Ports through which Import of Wheat at Zero Duty is allowed vide Public Notice 16(RE-2006)/2004-09 and Public Notice 18(RE-2005)/2004-09 dated 1stJune, 2006 and 12thJune, 2006.

  3. Public Notice No.19(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 13thJune, 2006, notifies the list of countries (Appendix 37-C) which qualify for benefits under Focus Market Scheme in terms of Para 3.9 of the Foreign Trade Policy

  4. The List of locally produced commodities by the people living along both sides of the Indo China Border is notified vide Public Notice No.20(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 13thJune, 2006

  5. Amendments/deletion/corrections and additions in the Input Output Norms in respect of product groups – Chemicals and Allied Products and Engineering Products have been notified by Public Notice No. 21(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 15thJune, 2006.

  6. Application Form (Appendix17D) for Target Plus Scheme for Exports effected during 2005-2006  is notified vide Public Notice No.22(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 15thJune, 2006.

  7. Validity of Export Licence/Authorisation has been prescribed as 12 months under Para 2.12 of Hand Book of Procedures vide Public Notice No. 24(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 20thJune, 2006.

  8. Jurisdiction of Licensing Authorities at Ludhiana & Chandigarhis amended byPublic Notice No.26(RE-2006)/2004-2009 dated 23rdJune 2006 inAppendix 1 of Hand Book of Procedures.

  9. Application for grant of credit under Vishesh Krishi and Gram Udyog Yojana for export made from 1.4.2006 may now contain 50 shipping bills, (earlier 25) as per Public Notice No.27(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 28thJune, 2006,

  10. The entitlement under the Target Plus Scheme for the financial year 2005-06 is revised to a uniform 5% of growth with retrospective effect from 1stApril, 2005 vide Notification No.8(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 12thJune 2006.

  11. As per Notification No.9(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 13thJune,2006 under the Focus Market Scheme the entitlement shall be granted to all shipments that are exported through Customs EDI enabled ports

  12. Utilisation of duty free credit scrip earned under the Served from India Scheme is permitted for payment of excise duty for procurement from domestic sources of such inputs that are permitted for imports under Para vide Notification No.12(RE-2006)/2004-2009 dated 14thJune, 2006.

  13. Notification No.15(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 27thJune, 2006 impose ban on export of pulses for six months.

  14. Date of filing of application for import of Sandalwood has been extended to 31stJuly, 2006 vide Policy Circular No.7(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 2ndJune, 2006.

  15. Exporters making an application to authorised agencies for issue of Certificate of Origin (NP) may leave Colum No.2 of the Certificate blank relating to details of the buyer abroad as per Policy Circular No8 (RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 6thJune, 2006.
